Client: Seagate Technology, Inc. Minneapolis, MN, USASystems Manager November 1999 to June 2000
Worked as a project manager to implement the CSM project at client site. The Component Supplier Management (CSM - System purchased to replace the existing Parts database and will also be used as the Part Number Assignment System) Data Promotion System is designed to sync the various databases and provide reporting capability to compare the Item Quest internal metadata between databases and a method to keep them in sync. Item Quest (A Component Supplier Management (CSM) tool, purchased from IQXpert to replace the existing Parts Database) clients can "update" the Oracle database data using the ItemQuest database data. This "update" includes editing table definitions (Add columns, Delete columns), adding tables, and adding indexes. IQ client (Administrator) makes these changes to IQ database. User requirement suggest that "any change made by the IQ Client administrator to Oracle database should get reflected on all the CSM databases" .Form 4.5 front end was developed to provide an easy to use interface for running DDL or DML or Other (SQL*Plus report) Reports. These reports then will be sent to the users lotus notes account or can be viewed in the specified UNIX directory.
